
Head of the Hai Ba Trung District Internal Affairs Department Le Bich Hang announced Decision No. 775/QD-CTN dated August 2, 2024 ofthe President on posthumously awarding the honorary title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother.
Accordingly, the President decided to posthumously award the State honorary title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother to 8 individuals from Hanoi who have made many contributions and sacrifices for the cause of national liberation, construction and protection of the Fatherland. Ms. Nguyen Thi Sau, whose hometown is Binh Lap commune, Tan An district, Long An province and whose registered address is Nguyen Du ward, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi, is one of the 8 individuals honored to be posthumously awarded this title.
In front of the spirit of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Sau, speaking at the posthumous award ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of Hai Ba Trung District People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of the district, respectfully expressed her deep gratitude to the Mother and relatives of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Sau for her extremely noble contributions and sacrifices to the cause of national liberation, protecting the Fatherland and glorifying the patriotic, resilient and indomitable tradition of Vietnamese women.
Over the years, along with the whole country, Hai Ba Trung district has always cared for and actively supported Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, strictly implementing the regime according to the State's regulations. The sincere feelings stemming from deep gratitude have contributed a small part to help mothers live happier, healthier, longer lives, and see their homeland and country increasingly renewed and developed.

Mother Nguyen Thi Sau was born in 1926 in Binh Lap Commune, Tan An District, Long An Province, and passed away on March 8, 2005 in Ngo Thi Nham Ward (now Nguyen Du Ward), Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi City. She had 11 children, including 2 sons who were martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives in the cause of fighting against the Americans to save the nation, namely martyr Nguyen Duc Thanh, who died in 1968, and martyr Nguyen Duc Yen, who died in 1969.
The representative of the relatives of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Sau expressed her feelings and respectfully thanked the Party, State, Hanoi city and local authorities for the attention and gratitude of Mother Nguyen Thi Sau for her great contributions and sacrifices in the struggle for national liberation and protection of the Fatherland...
