Great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos

General Secretary To Lam's State visit to Laos is one of Vietnam's particularly important foreign affairs activities in 2025.

At the invitation of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith and his wife, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam, his wife and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation paid a State visit to Laos, attended the 50th National Day Celebration of the Lao People's Democratic Republic; and co-chaired the High-level Meeting between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party on December 1 and 2, 2025.

This is one of Vietnam's particularly important foreign affairs activities in 2025 and is also the first State visit to Laos by General Secretary To Lam in his new position.

Along with General Secretary To Lam's visit to Laos, on December 2 and 3, 2025, at the invitation of Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh co-chaired the 48th meeting of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee in Vientiane, Laos./.
