Identifying the training of national defense and security knowledge for subjects as a key task in national defense and securityeducation ; therefore, agencies, units and localities in Military Region 9 regularly organize the review and classification of subjects.

The organization and implementation of national defense and security knowledge training for all subjects has always been carried out closely and consistently. National defense and security education for students has been put into practice, the quality of the subject has been improved; the dissemination of national defense and security knowledge to all people has been promoted, achieving the set goals and requirements and creating profound meaning for all classes of people. During the year, the entire Military Region organized 610 training classes, updating national defense and security knowledge for more than 47,000 people, reaching 118.52%, exceeding the target compared to the plan.

In the coming time, Military Region 9 will continue to innovate the content and form, improve the quality of national defense and security education, ensuring it is suitable for each subject. Pay attention to training exemplary individuals, managers of non-state enterprises, and non-public service units; effectively disseminate national defense and security knowledge to all people, especially people in remote areas, and workers in industrial parks.

On this occasion, the Defense and Security Education Council of Military Region 9 awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 collectives and 15 individuals with outstanding achievements in training and updating defense and security knowledge in 2024.
