Military Region 9 supports bridge construction in An Giang

On the morning of August 15, the Military Region 9 Command coordinated with the An Giang Provincial Military Command to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ngang Chu Vang Canal Bridge, connecting Ngoc Thanh and Minh Giong hamlets, Dong Hung commune. Major General Huynh Van Ngon, member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 9 attended the ceremony.

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Ngang Chu Vang Canal Bridge.

The Ngang Chu Vang Canal Bridge is invested by the Military Command of An Giang Province. The bridge is 21m long and 3.8m wide; at the same time, 77 solar-powered lamp posts are installed along the Military Region 9 road, built in 2014, with a length of 2.3km. The total investment for the bridge construction is 500 million VND, from the Fund for the Poor of Military Region 9.

Military Region 9 gives gifts to policy families in Dong Hung commune.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Major General Huynh Van Ngon requested local authorities, investors, contractors and specialized agencies to enhance their responsibilities, create favorable conditions for project implementation; regularly inspect, monitor and direct so that the project is completed on time and put into use before December 10, 2025.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Military Region 9 presented 10 gifts to policy families and 10 bicycles to poor students in Dong Hung commune ( An Giang province).
