On May 17, speaking with Dan Tri newspaper reporter, Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) confirmed that this agency had sent a document requesting the Ho Chi Minh City Market Management Department to consider and resolve the complaint related to Ms. Vo Ha Linh after receiving instructions from the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Previously, a consumer sent a complaint about TikToker Vo Ha Linh showing signs of unusually deep discounts during livestream sales, selling significantly lower than market prices, even lower than the listed price of the manufacturer or official distributor.
At the end of March, the Vietnam Association for Consumer Protection (VICOPRO) also sent a document to the authorities requesting a review of the sales activities of KOLs (influencers) and KOCs (influencers). Among them is the case of TikToker Vo Ha Linh.
Accordingly, the association said that the TikToker has been repeatedly reported for dumping, providing poor quality goods and urging people to hoard goods. These reports have caused many concerns in the consumer community as well as had a significant impact on the market.
Specifically, the association said that before the livestream sales session on March 15, Ha Linh posted on her personal social media page calling on people to stockpile goods on the grounds that e-commerce platforms would increase fees in early April.

At the same time, Vo Ha Linh continuously sold goods at incredibly low prices, many times lower than market prices, leading to negative impacts on retail sales of goods at stores.
The association believes that this KOL's continuous selling of products at prices that "destroy" traditional retailers will also lead to negative consequences for society when people are no longer interested in direct shopping and only focus on shopping at livestream sessions.
Immediately afterwards, on the evening of March 30, on Vo Ha Linh's official personal page with a blue tick, she spoke up, affirming her commitment to transparency in livestream sales activities on e-commerce platforms and always putting the interests of consumers first.
"Currently, we have not received any requests from authorities regarding recent reports. However, we are always ready to cooperate closely and fully to clarify any information if requested," the announcement on our personal page stated.
Vo Ha Linh is currently one of the KOLs leading in livestream sales in Vietnam. According to statistics from a market research company, in the livestream session on October 10, 2024, Vo Ha Linh's TikTok channel led in terms of reach with a total of 3.7 million views even though the livestream lasted less than 1.5 hours.
However, Vo Ha Linh has also been involved in many controversies when livestreaming to sell products. For example, in April 2023, this TikToker collaborated with a shampoo brand to livestream to sell products on the TikTok platform. Notably, she announced the launch of a product promotion program with shocking prices of 11,000 VND and 18,000 VND.
However, the campaign has received strong opposition from agents and pharmacies. They claim that the company is dumping prices, making it difficult for traditional sales channels. Some pharmacies have called on each other to boycott not only the above brand, but also other products of this unit.
In addition, some consumers also have an unsympathetic view when they misunderstand that agents and pharmacies are charging too much. In response to the backlash, both Vo Ha Linh and the brand immediately posted that this was an "exclusive deal" for the female TikToker and the product was sold as a combo, with limited quantity.
