At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported: After the merger, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has a Director and 7 Deputy Directors; 5 heads of departments, 14 deputy heads of departments; the positions of heads and deputy heads of affiliated public service units remain unchanged. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is completing the dossier to submit to the City People's Committee to issue a decision to establish public service units under the Department. The leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also proposed to the city leaders a number of issues regarding the repair of facilities; regimes and policies for cadres, civil servants and public employees of the entire sector; financial mechanisms, etc.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in operating and operating stably after the merger and requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to continue to reorganize and consolidate the apparatus towards streamlining, effective and efficient operation; pay attention to arranging facilities and reasonable working headquarters, promoting functions; promote digital transformation in cultural, sports and tourism activities; advise the City People's Committee to develop and promulgate mechanisms and policies for developing culture, sports and tourism suitable to the new situation. In particular, pay attention to exploiting the potential and strengths, especially cultural resources, of Can Tho City after the merger.

From now until the end of the year, Can Tho City will hold many large-scale events and activities, such as participating in the National Achievements Exhibition, celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day in Hanoi ; activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; Ok-om-bok Festival - Ngo Boat Race... City leaders requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to promote the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, and effectively carry out assigned tasks.
