Representatives from the Ministry of Finance , ADB experts, and city departments and agencies attended the workshop.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Nhi, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Can Tho City, spoke at the workshop.
According to ADB experts, Can Tho is the "heart of the Mekong Delta" but is facing many serious challenges due to climate change, such as saltwater intrusion, flooding, and extreme weather events. The city has economic goals such as becoming a regional logistics center and promoting the development of agriculture, industry, and tourism. To ensure the sustainability of these goals, integrating environmental and climate resilience factors is crucial.

City departments and agencies attended the workshop.
The ADB-supported technical assistance project "Developing an integrated action plan for climate change response and green growth for the period 2023-2025, with a vision to 2050 in Can Tho City" has helped Can Tho City gain a comprehensive approach to integrating green growth plans, analyzing risks, and connecting investment opportunities.
At the workshop, representatives from the Ministry of Finance shared information on the National Green Growth Strategy. The project team presented the results of the greenhouse gas inventory and held in-depth discussions on proposals for priority investments in climate change-resilient infrastructure development, green tourism, innovation, and environmentally friendly green industries. The reports and outputs from the project finalized at the workshop will serve as an important basis for Can Tho City to select priority investment projects for green and sustainable growth in the future.

The organizers and delegates pose for a commemorative photo.
