Quang Hai, Hoang Duc, Duy Manh selected to play for MU

Nguyen Quang Hai is the best attacking midfielder in V.League and the current Vietnamese team.

On the morning of April 16, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced that three players Quang Hai, Duy Manh and Hoang Duc were selected by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) to be part of the ASEAN All-Stars team. This team will participate in a special friendly match with Manchester United FC taking place on May 28 at Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The reason Quang Hai, Hoang Duc and Duy Manh are named by AFF is because of their excellent performance, professionalism in competition and impressive spirit in recent times. The 2024 ASEAN Cup championship can be convincing evidence that the Vietnamese team contributed 3 important names.

Hoang Duc played a prominent role in the midfield with his ability to control the game and creative passes. Quang Hai continued to assert his class with his technical handling and extensive international experience. Meanwhile, Duy Manh showed his leadership role in the defense, with a solid and passionate playing style.

Previously, AFF announced that head coach Kim Sang-sik of Vietnam national team was selected to lead the ASEAN All Stars team to play against MU. The list of ASEAN All Stars team includes top players selected from all 12 member associations of AFF.

The identities of the remaining assistant coaches and players from Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and even Laos, Cambodia, and Timor Leste will continue to be announced in the near future.

The friendly match between ASEAN All Stars and MU is part of the Premier League teams’ Southeast Asia tour and a fundraising campaign for charity.
