The Border Guard has directed the Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station to coordinate with the family to contact and notify the fishing boat QNa 90024-TS with 4 crew members in the area affected by storm No. 1 to move around to ensure safety.
In addition, at 4:10 p.m. on June 10, fishing boat QNa 91994-TS with 4 crew members was operating at sea when it was damaged by water and sank. After the boat sank, fishing boat QNa 90471-TS operating nearby rushed to the rescue, bringing 4 crew members safely ashore. Currently, the health of the 4 crew members on the boat in distress is stable.
On the same morning, the Provincial Border Guard Command also mobilized ships and officers and soldiers of Border Guard Squadron 2 to depart from Tam Hiep port (Nui Thanh) to support and rescue fishing boat QNa 92954-TS with engine failure at sea.
Previously, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province issued Official Dispatch No. 01/CD-UBND, requesting relevant departments, branches, localities and units to urgently respond.
Key tasks include: closely monitoring the development of storms and floods; ensuring safety for ships and boats; evacuating people in dangerous areas; inspecting and protecting works and residential areas along rivers, streams, and low-lying areas; prohibiting vehicles from passing through deeply flooded and landslide areas; and preparing rescue forces.
People's Committees of districts, towns and cities are required to review evacuation plans, inspect areas at risk of flash floods and landslides, ensure traffic and support people.
Agencies such as the Border Guard, Police, and Department of Agriculture and Environment coordinate to strictly control ships going out to sea, ensuring safety for vehicles and ships still operating at sea and at anchorages and shelters.
At the same time, proactively organize a sea ban for fishing boats, passenger ships, and tourist boats entering and leaving seaports and beaches in the province until the weather at sea returns to normal.
