Based on the guidance document of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and localities.
Relevant agencies shall review, adjust and implement the determination of administrative units formed after the arrangement with relics that are world cultural and natural heritages, special national relics and other issues under the state management of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Quang Nam is a locality possessing a rich and diverse system of heritage and relics with 2 world cultural heritages (My Son Temple Complex and Hoi An Ancient Town; 2 special national relics; 67 national relics and a series of provincial relics).

In addition, Quang Nam also has 16 national intangible cultural heritages. Therefore, the requirement to review and update administrative information is an important task.

Reviewing and updating information related to heritage and relics not only ensures continuity in state management but also affirms the commitment to preserving national cultural identity in the context of forming new administrative units.

According to the guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, localities after the rearrangement must keep the names of recognized relics and tourist areas to preserve legal and historical values; update new administrative place names with relic names to unify information; review all scientific records and maps of protected areas of relics to avoid loss or confusion after merging boundaries.

For intangible cultural heritage, keep the name of the heritage intact so as not to change the historical, cultural and scientific value of the heritage; review the scientific records of the heritage to unify the scope of classification.
declaration and dissemination of heritage to have a basis for management according to authority.

In particular, the identification of organizations and individuals responsible for managing relics must be clear. There must be no "ownerless" situations or conflicts of authority. Relic management centers and boards are also required to improve their apparatus, ensuring sufficient professional and legal capacity to manage, protect and promote heritage values.

The Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to conduct a review report and send the results to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism before October 30, 2025.
