Quang Ngai speeds up construction progress of Tra Khuc River downstream dam project

(QNgTV) - The Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Quang Ngai province, the investor of the Tra Khuc downstream dam project, is urging the contractor to speed up the construction progress of the remaining items, striving to bring the project to the "finish line" by the end of 2025 as planned.

According to the investor, after removing the "bottleneck" in site clearance, the area handed over to the contractor is now more than 38 hectares, reaching 98.7%. The total value of the construction volume is about 1,137 billion VND, reaching 89% of the contract value.

Currently, Tan Nam Construction Joint Stock Company - the main contractor is mobilizing maximum human resources and working equipment with the spirit of "3 shifts, 4 teams", urgently completing underwater work items before September 15 to ensure project safety during the rainy season and strive to bring the project to the "finish line" before December 15, 2025.

The Tra Khuc River downstream dam project has a total investment of 1,498 billion VND. The implementation period is from 2018 to 2025. This is an irrigation and transportation project with the main objective of raising water, creating landscape, contributing to improving the environment for the central urban area of Quang Ngai , limiting saline intrusion in the riverbed upstream of the dam in the context of climate change and exploiting land for urban development along the Tra Khuc River.
