Quang Ninh awards 400 million VND to male student who won International Medal

GD&TĐ - Ninh Quang Thang, a 12th grade IT major at Ha Long High School for the Gifted, was awarded 400 million VND for winning the Bronze Medal in the International Informatics Competition.

On August 7, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province held a ceremony to honor and reward students and teachers who won Bronze Medals at the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics, taking place from July 27 to August 3, 2025 in Bolivia.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, awarded 400 million VND from the province to student Ninh Quang Thang, class 12 specializing in IT, Ha Long High School for the Gifted, and 200 million VND to teacher Ha Dai Ton, teacher in charge of the 2025 IT team of Ha Long High School for the Gifted.

Teacher Ha Dai Ton was awarded 200 million VND.

This is the bonus level stipulated in Resolution No. 63/2021/NQ-HDND dated December 9, 2021 of the 14th term Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council, which stipulates the bonus and support regime in training excellent students of Quang Ninh province from the 2021-2022 school year to the 2025-2026 school year.

Student Ninh Quang Thang, grade 12 IT major, Ha Long High School for the Gifted, has won a Bronze medal at the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics.

Thang is a student with a long history of outstanding academic achievements, especially in the field of Information Technology, and has won many high prizes in provincial and national competitions for excellent students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee congratulated the outstanding achievements of Ninh Quang Thang students and the silent and dedicated contributions of teachers in training and teaching.

This is a remarkable result, demonstrating the spirit of relentless efforts, intelligence and bravery of the young generation of Quang Ninh in the era of innovation and digital transformation.
