Quang Tri: Discovered 7.3kg python in garden, people proactively handed it over

On August 28, the People's Committee of Tuyen Phu commune (Quang Tri province) said that it had just coordinated with local forest rangers and the family of Mr. Hoang Van Dung (Dong Phu village) to hand over a python to the Rescue, Conservation and Development Center of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.

The python weighed 7.3 kg and belonged to group IIB, a group of endangered, rare and precious wild animals that need urgent protection. Previously, Mr. Hoang Van Dung discovered the python in his garden. Realizing that this was a rare species, he proactively reported it to the authorities and contacted the forest rangers to hand it over.

After receiving it, the People's Committee of Tuyen Phu commune and forest rangers handed over the python to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Creatures for care and monitoring before releasing it back into the natural environment.
