According to records, at this time, the eastern part of Dak Lak province is experiencing heavy rain over a large area and hydroelectric plants are releasing floodwaters. The Ba Ha River hydroelectric plant alone at 12:20 this afternoon released water to the downstream with a flow rate of over 14,000 ^m3 /s.

In Tuy An Bac commune, Dak Lak province, hundreds of houses were submerged in water, and authorities struggled to reach and rescue people in the floodwaters. Many areas were difficult to reach because of the strong currents.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung directed and mobilized all forces to evacuate people from deep flooded areas due to complicated rain and flood developments. Make use of the remaining time in the afternoon, because tonight, many rivers in the East of Dak Lak province will exceed the historical flood peak of 1993. "Evacuate people by all means from now until evening, even if it is necessary to mobilize helicopters."
