The new low-cost 2025 Mitsubishi Triton Mega Cab pickup truck model just launched in Thailand attracts the most attention with the addition of a series of active safety features... these features rarely appear in the mid-range pickup segment. Notably, the FCM forward collision warning system integrates automatic braking support and pedestrian recognition - equipment on the 2025 Triton Mega Cab pickup that used to only appear on higher-end models.
In terms of appearance, the most noticeable change on the Triton Street is the completely different front design. This model is equipped with a hexagonal grille, which has a completely independent configuration compared to the rest of the Triton line, helping to clearly separate the lighting clusters. In addition, the front bumper is also newly designed with a large part painted black, including the area surrounding the fog lights (although the fog lights have been removed in this version). Triton Street uses 17-inch alloy wheels, located between the 16-inch size of the Mega Cab Pro and the 18-inch size of the Mega Cab Pro AT. Like those variants, the new Mitsubishi Triton Street pickup also comes with a Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM) system that can detect pedestrians and acts as a form of Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).
Positioned as the most affordable Mega Cab variant in Thailand, the Triton Street's interior equipment list is quite modest with fabric seats and 2 airbags. However, the highlight worth noting is that the car is still equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen, supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, an important utility for modern users. Basic safety systems such as: Active stability control (ASC), traction control (TCL), hill start assist (HSA), ABS, EBD, Brake Assist (BA), 2-speaker sound system... are also equipped for the vehicle. The big difference lies in the powertrain, with the Triton Street being powered by the standard-output version of the 4N16 2.4-litre inline-four turbodiesel engine. This engine produces 148bhp at 3,500rpm and 330Nm of peak torque between 1,500 and 3,000rpm.
For comparison, the high-output version of this engine (found on more expensive variants) produces 180 hp and 430 Nm. The 4N16 engine on the Street is mated exclusively to a 6-speed manual transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. The car is also equipped with a brake-type active limited slip differential. The 2025 Triton STREET has a listed price of 649,000 baht (equivalent to 530 million VND). The car is distributed by Mitsubishi Thailand with three exterior paint colors including Solid White, Blade Silver and Graphite Grey. The car has a genuine warranty of 5 years or 100,000 km.
