On the morning of August 6, the People's Committee of Mong Cai 1 Ward held a ceremony to announce the decision and launch the model "Peaceful border - Mong Cai 1 Ward has no illegal entry or exit".

Mong Cai 1 Ward was established on the basis of merging the communes and wards: Tran Phu, Hai Hoa, Tra Co, Binh Ngoc and Hai Xuan commune. With an area of nearly 83km², a population of over 44,000 people, and 2 international border gates Bac Luan I and Bac Luan II, the area has a land and sea border adjacent to China, is a key route, with many potential risks of illegal entry and exit activities.

Heads of neighborhoods in the ward signed a commitment to comply with the law in preventing illegal immigration.

The model "Peaceful border - Mong Cai Ward 1 no illegal entry and exit" was established to promote the role of the people in preventing, detecting, and stopping illegal entry and exit activities, building a movement of All people protecting national security, contributing to maintaining security and order in residential areas in the ward. Accordingly, the Steering Committee for implementing the model was established, including the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee; the Standing Deputy Head of the Committee is the Chief of the Ward Police; the Deputy Heads are the Chiefs of Border Guard Stations: Mong Cai International Border Gate, Hai Hoa, Tra Co.
