Phu Yen Tax Department is reviewing and updating information: full name; valid citizen identification number/ID card or identification number for individuals without citizen identification/ID card; date of birth of the individual into tax code data to synchronize with the National Population Database.
This is to ensure that each individual is granted a tax code and that the individual's dependents are granted a tax code to serve family deductions when paying personal income tax.
To contribute to standardizing personal tax code data and protecting the rights of taxpayers, the tax authority recommends that individual taxpayers should update changes in citizen identification information in tax registration through the income paying organization.
Individuals can also declare changes to tax registration information electronically via the General Department of Taxation's Electronic Information Portal (https://thuedientu.gdt.gov.vn) or at the tax authority where the individual registers permanent/temporary residence.
Updating and supplementing personal information will help citizens avoid having to remember many types of information such as identity cards/citizen identification cards, tax codes, social insurance codes, health insurance cards, etc.
Individuals whose tax registration information matches the National Population Database can use an electronic identification account (VNeID) to log in and authenticate taxpayer information on tax industry platforms. At the same time, when having an electronic transaction account with the tax authority or VNeID, taxpayers do not have to declare much personal information but will be supported to automatically retrieve information.
