Falling from the 15th floor, 2-year-old boy miraculously survived

According to ABC News , the incident of a 2-year-old boy falling from the 15th floor of an apartment building and miraculously surviving happened in Montgomery County, Maryland, USA, on the afternoon of May 15. A spokesman for the Montgomery County police said the child fell from the balcony of an apartment on the 15th floor of the apartment building. At that time, the child's parents were in the house.

"The child landed on a bush, which lessened the impact on his body. Age, size and weight were really factors in this case. If he had been heavier, he probably wouldn't have survived. It's truly a miracle," a fire official told ABC News .

According to the Montgomery County Fire Department, the child was seriously injured and was taken to a local hospital.

Police are investigating the incident.

Previously, in March 2025, a 9-year-old girl in China was also lucky to survive after falling from the 25th floor to the 7th floor of a building.

Her mother, Ms. Shen, said that because she felt hot, the girl decided to open the window. Unfortunately, the window broke, causing her to fall onto the seventh-floor courtyard.

Her parents rushed her to a hospital in Beijing, about 200 kilometers away. At Beijing Children's Hospital, the girl was diagnosed with fractures in her arm, frontal bone and thoracic vertebrae. Fortunately, her brain was not damaged.

The girl underwent several surgeries and was discharged from the hospital after 10 days.
