Brilliant Me Linh Flower Festival - the biggest flower festival in the North

On the evening of December 26, the opening ceremony of the 2nd Me Linh Flower Festival (Hanoi) in 2024 and the promotion of trade, tourism and culture took place at the Me Linh District Administrative Center Square. Attending the opening ceremony were Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, along with many local people and tourists from all over.
The 2nd Me Linh Flower Festival in 2024 with the theme "Me Linh is brilliant with flowers" will last until December 29, 2024. In his opening speech, Secretary of Me Linh District Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Liem said that along with promoting industrial and urban development, Me Linh district is especially interested in expanding the traditional flower growing village with nearly 2,000 hectares, associated with trade and tourism, bringing the Me Linh flower brand to all regions of the country and international friends. Me Linh Flower Festival is not only a simple cultural event but also an opportunity to honor the value of the flower growing village, contributing to promoting the beauty and tourism potential, aiming to build the Flower Festival into an annual event, a separate brand of Me Linh and tourism in the capital Hanoi. The opening ceremony of Me Linh Flower Festival took place in an exciting atmosphere. At this flower festival, the artisans arranged and designed according to each theme with 10 main modules, 8 miniatures decorated with flowers from Me Linh land, combined with lighting technology to create a space that is both modern and poetic, with brilliant colors. In addition to the flower display and introduction, many exciting and meaningful community activities also took place within the framework of the Festival, such as: a contest to decorate "flower bicycles from recycled materials"; a painting contest; gluing and assembling "giant" flower paintings; and a performance of Ao Dai with the theme "Me Linh is brilliant with flowers". In particular, the People's Committee of Me Linh district also coordinated with the Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion to organize the "Trade Promotion Fair linking tourism promotion and local culture in Me Linh district" with more than 100 booths displaying and introducing agricultural products, OCOP products, and craft village products of Hanoi and many localities across the country.
