After following Quynh Thom's artistic journey for a while, painter Le Tri Dung commented: "In just a short time, this is the third consecutive time Quynh Thom has organized a solo exhibition. He has clear ideas, a unified theme and is very active in his artistic work.

The unique feature of this exhibition is the richness of the topics, the vividness of the expression, showing the effort to listen, receive and continue to improve. In life, Quynh Thom is active in modesty, open-minded, willing to learn and absorb the spirit of the previous generation. That is a very precious spirit."

I always want to do something sincere to preserve. Not just the scenery but the soul of the homeland, where there are memories, people, simple but profound things of my nation. For me, painting is also a way to show gratitude, to live with and move forward with my homeland.

There are times when I have just finished a painting, and a short time later I return, and that scene is no longer there, replaced by new constructions with concrete roads, high-rise buildings... Every time like that, I feel my heart sink. The old features of the countryside are gradually fading away. I always want to do something sincere to preserve it. It is not just the landscape but the soul of the countryside, where there are memories, people, and simple but profound things of my people. For me, painting is also a way to show gratitude, to live with and move forward with my homeland".

Still the familiar yellow color but the painting space has been expanded.

Especially, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification, the paintings recalling the past with images of old roofs, village roads, ferry terminals, old markets or the sunny yellow and deep brown tones of time become even more attractive.
