Tay Nguyen General Hospital successfully operated on a patient with a giant tumor in the head.

The patient is YTK, born in 1967, residing in Ea Khit village, Ea Bhok commune, Cu Kuin district. On May 17, the patient was taken by his family to the Central Highlands General Hospital with symptoms of severe headaches and a tumor in the right temporal region since childhood. For about a month now, the patient's tumor has grown rapidly and caused itching.

After examining the patient and performing paraclinical tests such as: CT scan of the brain, blood test, ultrasound, chest X-ray, electrocardiogram... On May 21, doctors from the Department of Neurosurgery, Tay Nguyen General Hospital consulted and scheduled the surgery. The surgical team included specialist II Huynh Nhu Dong, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery and specialist I Le Huu Hoang.

After more than 1 hour of surgery, the entire tumor measuring about 15x10cm was removed and pathologically examined. One day after surgery, the patient was awake, had much less pain, could walk and eat well.
