Let's decorate the camp
Not only focusing on taking care of the material life and employment of workers, the Long An Industrial Parks Trade Union (IZTU) also cares about the spiritual life of workers . On the occasion of Labor Month this year, the IZTU organized many activities, creating a useful and healthy playground, connecting workers as well as grassroots trade unions (CCTU) of enterprises together. The highlight was the camping activity with the participation of 25 sub-camps including 10-20 people from 36 CCTUs in industrial parks in the province.
Teams prepare materials to decorate the camp
The camp took place for 1 day and 1 night at Happyland Tourist Area (Ben Luc District) with many attractive small activities. Workers competed in decorating the camp beautifully. Teams chose names for the sub-camps and decorated them with natural, available items such as coconut leaves, artificial flowers, palm leaf fans, etc. to ensure the criteria of beauty and meaning. Many sub-camps decorated with the company's logo or displayed the company's products, creating a unique feature for the sub-camps. The sub-camps also fully prepared national flags, pictures of Uncle Ho, flower vases, and fruit trays. When the decoration was completed, the sub-camps sent representatives to present to introduce the sub-camps and the meaning of the decorations to the judges.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Duy Khang - Employee of Ever Accurate One Member Co., Ltd. (Duc Hoa district), shared: “I am very happy to participate in the 2025 Labor Month activities of the Provincial Labor Union with my colleagues. For me, the most impressive activity is the camping activity. We discuss, come up with ideas and prepare necessary items to build and decorate the camp beautifully in the unique style of each company. Everyone also gets to sit together to eat, chat, share, and confide, thereby understanding and becoming closer. Through the camping activity, I also get to interact and learn from other teams.”
In addition to the beautiful camp decoration competition, the sub-camps also set up food stalls with traditional local dishes and drinks, folk dishes, etc. The dishes are prepared by the campers themselves with ingredients, food and cooked at the camp. Afterwards, the dishes are sold in the food stall area, each meal does not cost more than 20,000 VND. After that, the workers play games and light a campfire according to the game master's instructions, creating a joyful and bustling atmosphere, helping to connect the workers together.
Play outdoor games together
After the camp, employees continued to participate in outdoor games. The Trade Unions sent representatives of their members to participate in tug of war, sack jumping relay, catching fish in the pond and the shaking bridge challenge. In tug of war, each team has 8 contestants, including 4 men and 4 women, competing in a knockout format; in sack jumping relay, each team has 3 contestants (both men and women). In catching fish in the pond, each team has 4 contestants (with at least 1 woman). The contestants are blindfolded, and when they hear the whistle from the Organizing Committee, they go down to the pond to catch fish. Within 3 minutes, the team that catches the most fish wins. In the shaking bridge challenge, each team has 10 contestants (with at least 4 women). The teams draw lots to compete in a knockout format. During the competition, the 2 teams shake the bridge to go to the opposite bank with a competition time of 3 minutes. At the end of the match, the team with more TS on the shaking bridge wins.
Fans carry banners to cheer on candidates
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoai - Employee of Hoang Minh Water Joint Stock Company (Duc Hoa District), said: “I have participated in many activities organized by the Provincial Trade Union for employees, but each time I participate, I am excited and enthusiastic. Participating in the tug of war, I played with all my heart and the main spirit was fun. Through these fun activities, employees have many beautiful memories together. This is also a meaningful playground, helping employees have fun, relax, reduce stress and fatigue after work and create motivation to continue to try harder in their work at the company”.
Not only did the contestants compete with all their might, the fans also cheered with all their might. The workers who did not participate in the competition closely followed their colleagues' performances as well as encouraged and cared for them before and after the competition. Some of the company's trade unions brought banners to cheer. The most special and meaningful thing was that the uniforms of some teams were shirts with the red flag with a yellow star or with the words "I love Vietnam" to blend in with the atmosphere of the days when the whole country celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Some teams wore red flags with yellow stars to show their love for the Fatherland.
Chairwoman of the Provincial Trade Union of Industrial Workers - Bui Thi Ngoc Trang shared: “Through organizing recreational activities, workers have more useful and meaningful playgrounds; at the same time, contributing to training, promoting skills as well as creating conditions for workers to exchange, learn and unite more. These activities also contribute to spreading the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers to the grassroots, union members and laborers”.
Activities during Labor Month not only create a useful and healthy playground for workers but also strengthen solidarity, arouse collective spirit and pride in each worker. The cheers, laughter and exciting moments of competition are beautiful memories, adding motivation for workers to make more efforts and strive in their work./.
