Since the beginning of the year, people in Thai Nguyen province have exploited more than 420,000m3 of planted forest wood. Most of the exploited forest area is concentrated in the northern communes of the province such as: Yen Phong, Nghia Ta, Cho Don, Bach Thong, Yen Binh, Con Minh...

The harvested wood is supplied to wood processing facilities in the province and neighboring provinces, with a selling price of 1.8-2 million VND/m3. With the profits from planted forests, people are continuing to focus on afforestation, converting small areas of wood forests to large trees to increase economic value.

According to statistics, the total planted forest area of Thai Nguyen province is currently nearly 224,000 hectares.
