Sharing love, sowing hope to overcome illness with poor children at the National Children's Hospital

TPO - On the morning of October 19, the organizers of the JEEP Pickleball Tournament by Tien Phong Newspaper and sponsors visited and gave gifts to the families of children in difficult circumstances who are being treated at the National Children's Hospital.

The total amount of money from the JEEP Pickleball Tournament by Tienphong Newspaper - For children with difficult circumstances was given by the Organizing Committee to the representative of the Social Work Department of the National Children's Hospital. This amount includes 11 million VND from the auction of the 2011 SEA Games gold medal of Coach Truong Minh Sang, tournament fees, support from benefactors... Deputy Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training Le Thi Hoang Yen also gave back the third place prize in the Mixed Doubles category for children over 40 years old to the fund to support sick children.

At the meeting, Ms. Le Khanh Chi - Deputy Head of the Social Work Department of the National Children's Hospital said that for many years, Tien Phong Newspaper has accompanied the hospital, promoting awareness of health maintenance and patient care to the community. According to Ms. Le Khanh Chi, the National Children's Hospital is a final-line hospital, treating seriously ill patients. In addition to professional care, the hospital also focuses on the mental health of children. Many children at the Children's Hospital are seriously ill and in very difficult circumstances.

Hoang Thu Thao (born in 2014), is the only child in a poor family in Bac Ninh . Her mother is mentally disabled due to the effects of Agent Orange. She has no father and currently lives with her elderly grandmother who cannot afford to pay for her hospital bills. Her illness requires long-term treatment and is expensive.

Quàng Thị Ngọc Bích (born in 2012) has nephrotic syndrome and is the first child in a Thai family. Both parents work in the fields and have low incomes. She needs to use many types of medicine that are not covered by health insurance. Tô Duy Minh Khang (born in 2025) has respiratory failure and inhaled meconium at birth. The father cannot do heavy labor, and the mother is the main earner with low income. Minh Khang's illness has a complicated prognosis and requires long-term monitoring and intensive treatment, which requires the use of very expensive medicines.

These are 3 of the 15 cases that the Organizing Committee gave gifts to on the morning of October 19. Ms. Le Khanh Chi sent her thanks to Tien Phong newspaper and sponsor Jeep Vietnam Automobiles for accompanying and sharing with the difficult circumstances.
