Báo Sài Gòn Giải phóngBáo Sài Gòn Giải phóng26/03/2024

On the morning of March 26, Quang Trung Software Park Development Company Limited (QTSC) and Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Support and Consulting Center (DXCenter) organized a workshop on “Sustainable production towards green growth”. The workshop aimed to raise awareness and share experiences on the importance of building and implementing green production models and sustainable economic development.

Faced with many challenges such as climate change, environmental pollution, traffic congestion, etc., along with the cyclical impacts of the growth and development process, the Vietnamese Government is making efforts to restructure the economy with “green” goals, perfecting the legal framework and policies to serve the green transformation. Decisions and circulars are issued to aim at the goal of Vietnam Net to Zero Carbon by 2050 and the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) economic trend.

In particular, dual transformation including digital transformation and green transformation has become the goal, an important factor towards sustainable development. Digital transformation not only brings efficiency and flexibility in production management but also helps optimize resources and minimize waste. At the same time, green transformation helps minimize environmental impacts and create a healthy living environment for the community.

In Vietnam, import manufacturers have also proactively expanded production, changed towards saving fuel, using environmentally friendly materials and established the Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance - PRO Vietnam in 2021. The alliance has set the mission of developing a strong enough domestic packaging collection and recycling ecosystem, helping to increase the recycling rate and minimize the rate of packaging waste in the environment.

Over the past two years, PRO Vietnam has stepped up support for activities in many areas, including raising consumer awareness about recycling and waste classification, strengthening the existing packaging collection ecosystem, supporting recycling programs of treatment plants and recycled material production plants, etc.
