This morning, candidates from provinces and cities began to "pass the hurdle" of graduating from high school.

On the morning of June 26, more than 1 million candidates nationwide entered the 2025 high school graduation exam with the Literature subject.

Since 6am, at the examination sites of Lam Dong province, there have been many candidates coming to take the exam. This morning, the students took the first exam subject, Literature, with a time limit of 120 minutes.

Student Nguyen Thu Thao, from Bui Thi Xuan High School (Da Lat City), said that she and her friends entered the graduation exam with a relaxed and confident mindset because they had mastered the knowledge of the required subjects and two optional subjects.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Lam Dong province, out of a total of 16,943 candidates in Lam Dong registered for the exam, there were 16,656 candidates studying under the 2018 General Education Program, 287 candidates studying under the 2006 General Education Program and 373 independent candidates. The whole province has 40 examination sites with 719 examination rooms, including 708 examination rooms for the 2018 General Education Program and 11 examination rooms for the 2006 General Education Program. Lam Dong province has 2,545 officials, teachers and service staff at the examination sites.

In 2025, Dak Nong province has 8,540 candidates registered for the exam, of which 7,802 are generaleducation candidates; 416 are continuing education candidates and 322 are independent candidates. Dak Nong province has arranged 23 official exam locations with 380 exam rooms, evenly distributed in districts and cities, to create maximum convenience for candidates' travel, especially in remote areas.

Most candidates confidently entered the Literature exam.

The 2025 high school graduation exam is the first exam to apply the new general education program. Candidates will take 4 subjects, of which Literature and Mathematics are two compulsory subjects; the remaining 2 subjects candidates can choose from among the following subjects: Foreign Language, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, and Technology.

This year, Son La province has more than 13,400 candidates participating in the exam. This morning, June 26, candidates entered the first subject of the exam, Literature. The image of Son La Provincial Police officers coordinating with volunteers to ensure security, traffic safety and support candidates to get to the exam sites safely moved the people and parents.

Together with the functional forces, the Provincial Police organized the free distribution of filtered water and milk to the candidates.

Captain Luong Xuan Sang, Deputy Head of the Youth Department of Son La Provincial Police, informed that the provincial police force has deployed 38 volunteer points at 38 examination sites across the province. At the examination sites, volunteers will support and provide free water and milk to candidates.

Early in the morning, at the exam sites of Chieng Sinh High School and Son La Specialized High School, there were many parents picking up students and candidates to take the exam. Many parents and students said they were extremely surprised and happy to receive such unexpected gifts from the provincial police officers and other functional forces such as the Army, Youth Volunteers, and some banks located in the area. The gifts contributed to increasing the strength and confidence of the candidates at the most timely time because they had focused on studying for the exam for a whole month, and were nervous and worried during the days leading up to the exam.

The candidates felt extremely moved when they were motivated by the police officers before entering the first exam.

In addition, at the routes where the exam sites are located, the traffic police force will be present from 5:30 am, focusing on guiding and directing traffic, ensuring that there is no traffic jam or congestion. The officers will also prioritize the deployment of forces, coordinate with the police forces of communes, wards, and local security forces... to be present outside the exam sites to ensure traffic safety and create the most favorable conditions for candidates and their families.

A parent of a student who brought her child to the exam site at Chieng Sinh High School, Son La City, emotionally shared: “The images of the provincial police officers and other forces giving cool water and milk to support our children during this year's exam season are wonderful images that we think should be replicated. We strongly support them!”

Son La province has 38 examination sites, 589 examination rooms, 50 waiting rooms and spare rooms; 13,465 candidates; 2,342 cadres, teachers, staff, police, electricity, medical staff... mobilized to serve the exam. In order for the exam to take place safely and securely, at the examination sites, there is always the coordination of the police force to ensure security both inside and outside the examination sites. The Board of Directors of Son La Provincial Police has directed to ensure security and safety for all stages of the exam, participated in inspecting the work of ensuring security and safety for the 2025 exam and participated in the standing unit to assist the Provincial High School Graduation Exam Steering Committee. In addition, the Provincial Police have organized Working Groups to inspect the police of communes, wards and towns across the province at 38 examination sites, assigned to take charge of ensuring security and order at 38 examination sites in the area. The Working Groups have developed and implemented plans to ensure security and order at the examination sites; prepared support tools and means for officers and soldiers participating in the task; trained and disseminated the content of the examination regulations and situation handling procedures for officers and soldiers at the Groups in the examination area. Through the inspection, the Working Groups have encouraged officers and soldiers, and commanders of the Police of communes, wards and towns; at the same time, pointed out the shortcomings of the units, and requested the Police of communes, wards and towns to disseminate and train regulations and situation handling procedures for 100% of officers and soldiers and forces participating in ensuring security and order for the examination; increased patrolling, control, and ensuring security and order around the examination area; and prepared forces and means to ensure absolute safety for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.
