Naturalized U23 Indonesia star "runs shows", plays 2 matches in 2 days

Center-back Justin Hubner played the full 90 minutes in Cerezo Osaka's 1-0 win over Morioka in the J-League Cup on April 17, then flew from Japan to Qatar and played the last 20 minutes of Indonesia U23's 1-0 win over Australia U23 in the 2024 AFC U23 Championship on the evening of April 18.

The 1-0 victory over U23 Australia helped U23 Indonesia rise to second place in Group A with 3 points. Coach Shin Tae Yong and his team only need to draw with U23 Jordan in the final match to secure a ticket to the quarter-finals.

Before playing 2 matches in 2 days, Justin Hubner attracted attention with a post expressing his anger towards the referee after Indonesia U23 lost to Qatar U23 on April 15. This player was also given the number 10 shirt for Indonesia U23, despite playing in defense.
