Landslide causes traffic jam in Muong Sai commune

Due to the impact of heavy rain over the past few days, a landslide occurred at Km52+130, Provincial Road 116, Thong Nhat Village, Muong Sai Commune.

The asphalt road was eroded about 7m long, causing traffic congestion. After receiving the information, Muong Sai Commune mobilized Thong Nhat village to build a bamboo bridge for people and motorbikes to temporarily travel. At the same time, warning signs were posted and vehicles passing through the Nam Et ferry area were instructed to move in the following direction: From the center of Quynh Nhai district, follow National Highway 6B to Km10/QL6B, turn left or from Tong Lanh intersection, follow National Highway 6B to Km10/QL6B, turn right, follow Provincial Road 116 (old Chieng Ngam - Nong La commune), turn right, follow Provincial Road 116 to Muong Bu commune and vice versa.

According to information from the commune leaders, this is an area where landslides often occur. Currently, the commune is actively coordinating with related units to find solutions to overcome the landslide area.
