Landslide causes traffic disruption on the road to Nam Det commune (Bac Ha)

According to information from the People's Committee of Nam Det Commune, Bac Ha District, due to prolonged heavy rain, at around 5:00 a.m. this morning (June 21), on the road connecting National Highway 4E to the commune center, 3 large landslides appeared, completely cutting off traffic.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Dang Xuan Phuong, Chairman of Nam Det Commune People's Committee, said: Through initial inspection, by 9:00 a.m. this morning, there were 3 landslides on the road leading to Nam Det Commune; of which, the largest landslide occurred at Km4 (in Goc Dao Hamlet, Bao Nhai Commune). Here, thousands of cubic meters of soil and rock from the positive slope slid down, completely burying the roadbed, causing traffic disruption.

The Department of Economics , Infrastructure and Urban Areas of Bac Ha district has coordinated with the People's Committee of Nam Det commune to deploy vehicles, machinery and human resources to overcome landslides and soon open the route to serve people's travel.

The route from National Highway 4E to the center of Nam Det commune, Bac Ha district, is over 10 km long and was only started in 2024, with a total investment of over 58 billion VND. During the flood caused by the circulation of storm No. 3 in 2024, this route suffered serious landslides.
