The landslide occurred at Km 80+530, National Highway 279, in Bong 2 village, Bao Ha commune, Bao Yen district. The landslide prevented vehicles from moving on National Highway 279 from Bao Ha commune to Pho Rang town, Bao Yen district and vice versa.
Landslides and rocks spilled onto the road, blocking National Highway 279.
At the landslide site, rocks spilled onto the road surface approximately 70 meters long, 7 meters high, and weighing over 5,000 cubic meters. Currently, the landslide site and rocks above are still falling. Authorities have placed checkpoints at both ends of the landslide site to direct and regulate traffic.
Immediately after receiving the news, Minh Duc General Construction Company Limited - the management and maintenance unit, arranged human resources and machinery to clear the soil and rocks, striving to build a temporary road by 5:00 p.m. today (August 7) to ensure temporary traffic.
