Attending the conference were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of some provincial departments and branches: Home Affairs, Agriculture and Environment, Finance, Construction; Science and Technology; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Statistics, etc.
At the conference, delegates focused on making comprehensive contributions to the Draft Political Report of the Provincial Party Executive Committee presented at the 1st Congress of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee with many profound, enthusiastic and highly responsible opinions.
Comrade Hong Ngoc Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, contributed to the Draft Political Report.
Specifically, delegates focused on giving opinions on the congress theme, the implementation of the Resolution of the Party Congress (3 provinces of Ben Tre , Vinh Long and Tra Vinh) term XI, term 2020 - 2025; goals, targets, directions, tasks, solutions for building and developing Vinh Long province, period 2025 - 2030.
With a high sense of responsibility, the Standing Committee of Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee proposed that the political report should further emphasize the role of innovation and application of science and technology in restructuring the economy, developing industry, high-tech agriculture and digital economy, in line with the general development trend of the Mekong Delta region in particular and the whole country in general.
Comrade Duong Hoang Sum, Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism contributed to the Draft Political Report.
Include the content of strengthening regional connectivity, promoting the specific strengths of Vinh Long province in developing marine economy, high-tech agriculture, and continuing to preserve and promote the unique cultural values of the locality in the political report.
The delegates also said that the Political Report presented to the congress must demonstrate the strategic vision of all three provinces of Ben Tre, Vinh Long and Tra Vinh after the merger. The Standing Committee of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee expressed confidence that the 1st Congress of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee will create an important mark, opening a development period with steady progress and many new breakthroughs.

The 1st Congress of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee is of great significance, a turning point in the development of the province, a special milestone to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2030), towards the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2045).
Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council gave a speech directing the conference.
Comrade Kim Ngoc Thai highly appreciated the delegates' comments. The comments all demonstrated a constructive spirit, enthusiasm, high responsibility, and close adherence to local realities, focusing on the core and central contents of the draft. The delegates' comments were fully synthesized by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and added to the Draft Political Report by the Ministry in charge.
Also at the conference this morning, delegates gave their opinions on the Project to merge the Party Committees of Ben Tre Province, Vinh Long Province, and Tra Vinh Province to establish the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee; the personnel plan for the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee; the Project to arrange and streamline the organization of the Fatherland Front , socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State.
