On February 13, Hamas confirmed that it would continue to implement the ceasefire agreement with Israel according to the signed content, including the exchange of Palestinian prisoners and Israeli hostages according to the agreed schedule.

Reuters news agency reported that in a statement, Hamas said that its delegation had participated in negotiations in Cairo (Egypt) with intermediaries to discuss the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the exchange of hostages.
The discussion focused on the need to implement all provisions of the agreement, in particular ensuring housing for Gazans by allowing the movement of equipment such as prefabricated houses, tents, heavy equipment, medical supplies, fuel and other means.
Hamas said it did not want the Gaza ceasefire to collapse. The statement also said that the two mediators, Egypt and Qatar, affirmed their commitment to resolving obstacles and bridging differences to implement the agreement.
On February 10, Hamas announced that it planned to postpone the handover of Israeli hostages scheduled for February 15 until further notice, accusing Israel of violating the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened to continue “fierce fighting” if Hamas failed to meet the hostage release deadline.
Israel then sent a message to Hamas through Egyptian and Qatari mediators to ensure the continuation of the ceasefire if the Islamist movement released the hostages as planned on February 15.
The Israeli government has demanded that Hamas release the three remaining hostages by February 15 under the terms of a ceasefire agreement currently in effect in the Gaza Strip. If the demand is not met, Israel will resume military operations in the territory.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that the new conflict in Gaza "will be different in intensity than before the ceasefire. The conflict will not end without the defeat of Hamas and the release of all hostages".
