Six works received the Vietnam Writers Association Literature Award 2023

The 2023 Vietnam Literature Prize was awarded to three Prose works, one Poetry work, one Critical Theory work and one Children's Literature work; the total prize money is 120 million VND.

On December 27, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association Nguyen Quang Thieu signed a decision to announce the 2023 Vietnam Writers Association Literature Award.

The 2023 Vietnam Literature Prize will be awarded to three works in the Prose genre; one work in Poetry; one work in Theory and Criticism and one work in Children's Literature. The total amount awarded for the prizes is 120 million VND, with each prize being 20 million VND.

Specifically, three works were awarded the Prose Prize including: Novel “From the sixth hour to the ninth hour” by writer Nguyen Mot - Writers Association Publishing House; Novel “Absolutely no trace” by writer Nguyen Viet Ha - Tre Publishing House; Short story collection “A summer under the shade of a tree” by writer Nguyen Tham Thien Ke - Writers Association Publishing House.

The Poetry Prize belongs to the collection "Dong Sen Tan" by poet Nguyen Phuc Loc Thanh - Writers Association Publishing House.

The Criticism Theory Award belongs to the work "Literary autonomy and the mission of freedom" by two authors Phung Ngoc Kien and Doan Anh Duong - Writers Association Publishing House.

The Children's Literature Award was given to the story collection "Linh Fish Goes to School" by writer Le Quang Trang - Kim Dong Publishing House.

On the same day, Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association Nguyen Quang Thieu signed Decision No. 84/QD-HVV announcing the 2023 Vietnam Writers Association Young Author Award for the novel "Double Life, Living Two Lives" by author Duc Anh, with the award amount of 30 million VND.

Author Duc Anh, born in 1993 in Russia, currently works in the publishing industry in Hanoi. “Double Life Lives Two Lives” (Linh Lan Books and Women’s Publishing House 2023) is a work of fiction combined with detective work, written about the world of people with two bodies but one soul, also known as “double life.”

The book uses fantasy elements to explore a new, interesting plot that is still very realistic.
