Manchester United beat Athletic Bilbao 7-1 on aggregate to reach the final.

Speaking on TNT Sports , former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes believes his old club will win the final: “The history of this club is like Real Madrid – even when they don't play well, they can still win European cups."

"Manchester United's history gives me confidence that they will win. They know how to win titles, Tottenham don't," Scholes commented.

Both Manchester United and Tottenham have struggled in the Premier League this season, finishing 15th and 16th respectively. However, a European trophy would secure either Tottenham or Manchester United a place in next season's Champions League, which is hugely important.

Although Paul Scholes is confident about the "Red Devils" tradition, the current head-to-head statistics between Manchester United and Tottenham are clearly in favor of the "Roosters".

They have beaten Manchester United three times this season, including a 3-0 win at Old Trafford and a 1-0 home win in the Premier League, while also winning 4-3 in the Carabao Cup.

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim said: “If you look at the probability, it is difficult for a club to lose four times in a row to someone in a season. We can think that way.”

Manchester United last won the Europa League in 2016/17 under Jose Mourinho, while Spurs' last major trophy was the League Cup in 2008.

4 goals put MU in the Europa League final. In the early morning of May 9, Mount scored a double to help MU defeat Bilbao 4-1 in the second leg of the semi-final, thereby winning a ticket to the final with a total score of 7-1.
