In Us 8 Years Later , boss Giang - a refined CEO - although appearing quite late (from episode 18) is a character that attracts the attention and admiration of many viewers. He plays the role of the CEO of a construction company, the boss of the male lead Lam (Manh Truong) and the father of the daughter Lan Nhi, a student in the class of teacher Nguyet (Quynh Kool) - the person that the audience enthusiastically "shipped" with him.

* What experiences did the first role filming in the North bring you?

- Actor Khoi Tran : For Khoi himself, the thing that makes him happiest is the feeling of being able to work, feeling the excitement and interest in each of his scenes. That feeling is probably due to the meticulous investment of the VFC crew in every stage; especially, working with director Bui Tien Huy. Huy is one of the talented directors that Khoi is lucky to have the opportunity to collaborate with. He respects the creativity of actors, is a perfectionist, so actors working with him can act with peace of mind, because he has to meet almost all the elements of image and acting before he will let them pass (laughs).

* How has Boss Giang changed Khoi Tran? For example, before his Facebook interaction was not high, now it's... completely different!

- Boss Giang did not change Khoi Tran, but the success of the role of boss Giang gave Khoi the motivation to continue his artistic path. Those who have followed or read articles about Khoi must have known that Khoi was originally a teacher, but because of his passion for acting, he turned to acting. Committing to films with passion, devoting himself to roles, big or small, as well as the support and love of viewers for the role of boss Giang, made Khoi believe in one thing: if you are passionate, enthusiastic, and devoted to your profession, success will come sooner or later.

Obviously, social networks also partly reflect the measure of success. Before, Khoi Tran's Facebook was quite... gloomy. But now, since having boss Giang, Khoi's Facebook interactions are quite high, with statuses of more than 20,000 likes, and comments are also very lively. Khoi really didn't think the audience would love and care about Khoi Tran's boss Giang so much (laughs). Friends teased Khoi if he bought likes, why is the interaction so great! (laughs)...

* In your opinion, what are the advantages and disadvantages of a Southern actor going to the North to act in a movie?

- "Strange" is the advantage of Southern actors when they go to the North to act with the crews here. The voice factor is also an interesting feature in the Northern market. But the voice must be standard and good (laughs). And the difficulty is also the voice. Before going to the North, Ms. My Uyen and Ms. Lan Huong both called and told Khoi to pay attention to the dialogue. The dialogue must be moderate, with a steady rhythm and emphasis so that the Northern audience can hear. Because the Northern and Southern accents are very different...

- Not yet. But Khoi hopes to have the opportunity to continue to cooperate with VFC.

* After a short time "going North", he looks... completely different!

- (Laughs). Before now, Khoi has always been a cheerful and easy-going person, so his demeanor is always cheerful. As for his skin, it is true that it looks whiter and smoother than when he is in Ho Chi Minh City. Partly because of the Northern climate, partly because Khoi is more diligent in taking care of his skin. However, it must be admitted that the cold weather in Hanoi also makes Khoi feel more comfortable and his skin is more beautiful (laughs). As an actor, having beautiful skin and appearance is necessary. Khoi himself is also someone who gains weight easily, so to be able to portray the image of CEO Giang, Khoi also lost a lot of weight. He eats more selectively and exercises regularly when possible.

* How do you start your 2024 plans? And do you still plan to... sing?

- In early March, Khoi will start a new TV series project. Singing is... Khoi is no longer very interested. However, Khoi is planning to install a mixer to livestream singing for and interacting with the audience. In the near future, Khoi will also introduce to the audience a few cover songs to satisfy his passion for singing, not focusing on it like before.

He does not make his personal love life public in the media to avoid unnecessary scrutiny and trouble for himself and his partner...

* What does 40-year-old actor Khoi Tran "own"?

- Khoi's greatest possessions at present are: health, passion, support from the audience and family. Khoi is very satisfied with his current life. Khoi is not a person with too high material needs, nor does he have a need for luxury goods; so Khoi's current life is quite complete.

* To be a little more personal, I don't think you've ever mentioned love, except for talking about my ideal type, how I was betrayed...?

- Khoi can share his feelings, experiences, and personal interests, but he absolutely does not publicize his personal love affairs in the media, to avoid unnecessary scrutiny and trouble for himself and his partner. When the time comes and the wedding happens, Khoi will proactively share his joy and happiness with the public so that the audience will not urge Khoi to get married anymore (laughs)...
