Thai boss resigns as General Director of Binh Minh Plastics

(Dan Tri) - Mr. Chaowalit Treejak resigned from June 1 due to health reasons. Binh Minh Plastics appointed Mr. Niwat Athiwattananont as the new General Director.


Binh Minh Plastics Joint Stock Company (stock code: BMP) announced the dismissal of Mr. Chaowalit Treejak from the position of General Director due to his resignation due to health reasons. Effective date is June 1.

Mr. Chaowalit Treejak was born in 1966, Thai nationality. He has worked at Binh Minh Plastics since 2021 as Deputy General Director, then as General Director from August 2022 to present. Before that, he worked in many positions at SCG Chemicals (a company under SCG Thailand Group - the parent company of Binh Minh Plastics).

In addition to his position on the Executive Board, Mr. Chaowalit Treejak also holds the position of Vice Chairman of Binh Minh Plastics. He has also submitted a letter of resignation from this position at the time decided by the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.

According to the 2024 financial report, this person received a salary of more than 6.1 billion VND, the highest in the Board of Directors.

Binh Minh Plastics has appointed Mr. Niwat Athiwattananont as its new General Director. Prior to his appointment, he was Director of Plastics Research and Technology at SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited (Thailand). The term of appointment is 5 years.

Binh Minh Plastics has been owned by SCG Group (Thailand) since 2018. By the end of 2024, a member of this group held 54.99% of the company's capital. In 2024, Binh Minh Plastics achieved revenue of more than VND 4,616 billion, down 10% and after-tax profit of nearly VND 991 billion, down 5% compared to the previous year.
