The highest-paid Thai boss at Binh Minh Plastics has resigned.

The Board of Directors of Binh Minh Plastic Joint Stock Company has dismissed Mr. Chaowalist Treejak and appointed a replacement.

Binh Minh Plastic Joint Stock Company has just announced to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) a change in the position of the company's general director.

Accordingly, the company's board of directors announced that it had accepted the resignation of Mr. Chaowalist Treejak from the position of CEO due to "health conditions".

Mr. Chaowalist Treejak is not retiring immediately; his resignation will take effect from June 1st. Therefore, he remains the General Director of Binh Minh Plastics and will remain in his position until May 31st.

Following Mr. Chaowalist Treejak's official retirement, Mr. Niwat Athiwattananont will replace him as the General Director of Binh Minh Plastics for a five-year term.

BMP is a long-standing brand in the construction plastics industry, primarily operating in the southern region and currently holding over 50% of the plastic pipe market share there, according to a report by Mirae Asset Securities.

Currently, the largest shareholder of BMP is The Nawaplastic Industries (Saraburi) Co., Ltd, which owns nearly 55% of the shares. This is a subsidiary of SCG (Thailand).

Reportedly, Mr. Chaowalit was nominated to the BMP Board of Directors in April 2021, and subsequently became the CEO of BMP in 2022.

According to the Q4 financial report, Mr. Chaowalit Treejak - a member of the board of directors and CEO - received the highest income at the company, nearly 6.2 billion VND in 2024 - an increase of 23%, equivalent to nearly 520 million VND per month.

The second highest earner at BMP is Mr. Sakchai Patiparnpreechavud - Chairman of the Board, with nearly 3.2 billion VND, an increase of 16%.

Meanwhile, the remaining board members received the lowest incomes, ranging from 387 million VND to 1.9 billion VND.
