Cambodia accused Thailand of using F-16 fighter jets to drop bombs. "On December 13th, the Thai military used two F-16 fighter jets to drop seven bombs on several targets. Thai military aircraft have not stopped bombing," the Cambodian Ministry of Defense stated.
Meanwhile, Thailand rejected the accusations and blamed Cambodia for "repeatedly violating international rules" by targeting civilian targets and laying landmines.

The statements from the two countries following their phone calls with Mr. Trump revealed a contradiction. Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul asserted that "there is no ceasefire."
Conversely, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet did not directly confirm the new agreement, but only reaffirmed his commitment to the October peace agreement, while also requesting that the US and Malaysia verify "who fired first."
Earlier, on December 12, Trump posted on the social media platform Truth Social: "They have agreed to stop all shelling starting tonight, and return to the original Peace Agreement signed between me and them, with the help of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim."
This conflict stems from a long-standing border dispute, which flared up fiercely in July 2025 and re-ignited in early December with both sides using heavy weaponry, causing casualties among soldiers and civilians.
