MM Mega Market Vietnam said that since early November, it has activated emergency response plans at its centers and warehouses in Da Nang , Quy Nhon and Nha Trang - areas forecast to be directly affected by storm No. 13 Kalmaegi.
At MM Mega Da Nang supermarket, the output of vegetables and fruits has increased by 25-30% compared to normal days, especially leafy vegetables which have increased by 200%, transported from Da Lat supply station to ensure a fresh and stable source of goods. Meat, seafood and dried food products have also increased by about 30% to meet the increased consumer demand.

On November 4-5, the supermarket recorded a sharp increase in the number of customers, focusing on consuming fresh food, instant noodles, rice and necessities. Online orders nearly doubled, the supermarket arranged additional delivery staff to ensure timely processing of orders, and continuously replenished goods on shelves.
The Quy Nhon branch of the system recorded double the number of customers on normal days, the system increased the amount of vegetables and fruits by 300% and received additional large orders before the storm hit. The Nha Trang branch also increased fresh food, dry goods and necessities to serve customers before and after the storm.
MM Mega Vietnam has also implemented a storm prevention plan at its warehouses and centers in the Central region, reinforced warehouse roofs, increased 24/7 logistics staff, coordinated with suppliers to adjust flexible delivery schedules, and checked generator systems, cold storage, and fuel. The centers are maintained in continuous operation until further notice, with priority given to employees in remote areas or dangerous areas to take time off work to ensure safety.
Bach Hoa Xanh chain said that in the Quang Ngai and Gia Lai areas, which are expected to be directly affected by storm Kalmaegi, the system has increased in-store inventory, equivalent to 25-30 days of normal sales.
The supply of goods focuses on instant noodles, canned food, rice, mineral water and bottled tea. Central region warehouses are ready to quickly deliver goods to stores with shortages.

At the same time, the Co.opmart supermarket chain also deployed an emergency response plan to storms in the Central region, increasing the supply of essential goods such as dry food, instant noodles, rice, drinking water, cooking oil, milk, batteries, and rechargeable lamps.
According to records on November 4, purchasing power at supermarkets in Gia Lai, Dak Lak , Khanh Hoa of the system increased 4 times compared to normal days, the number of online orders increased 10 times, especially in the group of essential food products. To meet this demand, the system has increased reserves by 3 tons of fresh vegetables and fruits every day, more than 200 tons of rice, 9,000 boxes of instant noodles, 3,000 boxes of bottled water, and more than 10 tons of essential consumer goods. 100% of the staff in the area is mobilized, on duty 24/7 to ensure that the shelves are always full of goods, prices are stable, and service is smooth.
Coop mart said the supply chain from the South to the Central region has been activated to cope with power outages, flooding or traffic jams. Supermarkets remain open as usual, while mobile sales points are set up to supply goods to people when necessary.
