Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports appoints many key officials

On July 15, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to announce the Decision on personnel work.

The Board of Directors of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City was introduced at the ceremony.

Previously, at the ceremony to hand over the decision to appoint leaders of departments and branches under the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Mr. Tran The Thuan was appointed Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports. Along with 11 deputy directors including: Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut, Mr. Nguyen Nam Nhan, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Mr. Vo Trong Nam, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoi, Mr. Bui Huu Toan, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Mr. Le Van Thai, Mr. Cao Van Chong, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien and Mr. Do Phuoc Trung.

After receiving additional tasks and restructuring the apparatus, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City has 10 functional departments and 32 public service units.

At the ceremony, the Department of Culture and Sports announced the decision on appointing leaders of the Department's functional departments.

According to the announced decisions, Mr. Vo Ho Hoang Vu holds the position of Chief of Office of the Department of Culture and Sports; Mr. Pham Thanh Nam holds the position of Head of Organization Department; Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang holds the position of Head of Inspection - Legal Department; Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa Binh holds the position of Head of Planning - Finance Department; Mr. Hoang Nghi holds the position of Head of Cultural Heritage Department;

The leadership team of the Office of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City received the decision on personnel work.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Kiet was appointed as Head of the Art Department; Mr. Tran Thanh Vuong was appointed as Head of the Department of Cultural and Family Lifestyle Development; Mr. Nguyen Dang Khanh as Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports; Mr. Tran Minh Khiem as Head of the Department of Press and Publishing and Ms. Pham Dac My Tran as Acting Head of the Department of Electronic Information.

Mr. Tran Minh Khiem holds the position of Head of Press and Publishing Department with 4 Deputy Heads of Department.

Also at the ceremony, the Department of Culture and Sports announced the Decision on appointing leaders of affiliated public service units.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City Vo Trong Nam presented the personnel decision to Ms. Nguyen Dinh Nhu Huong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center and Mr. Nguyen Van Khanh, Deputy Director of the Center.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City Vo Trong Nam requested that the departments and units after the merger urgently review, propose adjustments and implement the 2025 work plan on the basis of fully inheriting the functions and tasks of the previous units, ensuring no overlap and no omission of assigned tasks.

Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports Vo Trong Nam spoke at the ceremony.

Expressing his hopes for the newly appointed officials, Mr. Vo Trong Nam emphasized that each individual needs to clearly define their responsibilities, constantly train and improve their political qualities, and maintain their revolutionary ethics. At the same time, they need to continue to promote their own abilities and strengths to successfully complete assigned political tasks, contributing to building the City's Culture - Sports sector to develop sustainably and be worthy of the position of the new Ho Chi Minh City.
