An Giang Department of Health announced recruitment of 29 positions for preventive medicine major.

On the afternoon of September 9, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Quang Hien, Director of An Giang Department of Health, signed Notice No. 58/TB-SYT on recruitment for contract training in 2025 in the field of Preventive Medicine at Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

Specifically, 29 targets for the preventive medicine major are considered; the threshold score is 17 points or higher. Candidates have registered their wishes to enter Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy and are on the list. Candidates must be permanent residents of the locality for 3 years or more. The Department of Health notes that candidates applying for the same major by multiple methods will be converted and considered for admission together.

Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Quang Hien, Director of the An Giang Department of Health, stated that the recruitment process aims to train human resources for grassroots healthcare, applying the principles of family medicine to improve the quality of healthcare services, examination, treatment, disease prevention, and the implementation of health programs. This will better meet the healthcare needs of the people at the grassroots level, reduce the burden on higher-level hospitals, and align with the local healthcare restructuring plan when implementing the two-tiered local government model.
