According to Mr. Ly Rotha, the official delegates attending are 370 people, who are representatives of Vietnamese ethnic minorities from all sectors and areas of social life, selected from the district-level Congress and departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations in the province. At the same time, a pilot district level will be held in April 2024 to draw experience for other localities, with the number of district-level delegates being 150 people.
Mr. Ly RoTha emphasized that the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Soc Trang province continued to affirm the Party and State's attention to ethnic minority areas and recognized the great contributions of ethnic minorities in socio -economic development, sustainable poverty reduction, new rural construction, infrastructure development, and implementation of ethnic policies.
Honoring, praising and rewarding outstanding collectives and individuals who are ethnic minorities in the cause of building, integrating, developing and protecting the country in the period of 2019 - 2024; Honoring and praising outstanding collectives and individuals who are ethnic minorities to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the term 2025 - 2030.
At the same time, evaluate the achievements and results of ethnic work, ethnic policies, infrastructure development, sustainable poverty reduction, and new rural construction in the 2019-2024 period.
According to the plan issued by the People's Committee of Soc Trang province on March 1, the Congress needs to be organized solemnly, on an appropriate scale, practically, economically, while creating an exciting, enthusiastic and proud atmosphere among the people. Promote propaganda work before, during and after the Congress at all levels, creating a strong change in awareness and action in the political and social system, practically making achievements to welcome important events in 2024.
