Exciting Phu Yen Cultural Tourism Festival (Son La) 2023

From early morning, crowds of people flocked to Muong Thai commune - one of the two main locations of the festival to participate in the opening activities.

One of the attractive highlights this year is that for the first time, Phu Yen district organized a traditional boat racing tournament at Suoi Chieu Lake, Muong Thai Commune, attracting thousands of locals and tourists to watch and cheer on the competing teams.

Participating in the boat race are 9 teams, nearly 100 athletes from 8 communes of Phu Yen district and 1 team from Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province competing in the men's team event with 10 athletes.

In the end, the boat racing team of Bach Hac ward, Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province won first prize; the boat racing team of Bac Phong commune won second prize; and the two teams of Tuong Thuong and Muong Thai communes won third prize.

Special paragliding and surfing performances on the poetic space of Suoi Chieu Lake.

The paragliding and kiteboarding performance had the participation of 5 athletes from the Northeast Quang Ninh Paragliding and Kite Flying Club, and 15 athletes from the Silver Sup Jet Ski Club.

Continuing the activities, at Dong Da urban area (Phu Yen town), on the afternoon of November 25, more than 300 athletes from 27 communes and towns participated in tug of war, stick pushing, rice cooking, and mouse hunting competitions.

The rice cooking competition is unique, imbued with the cultural identity of Phu Yen ethnic groups.

On the evening of November 25, the Department of Intellectual Property announced and granted the Certificate of registration of the trademark "Phu Yen Rice" for the rice varieties: BC15, J02, Dai Thom 8..., creating a solid foundation and value for the Phu Yen Rice brand.

Son La Provincial People's Committee awarded the Decision to recognize the tourist site "Historical relic site of the resistance war against the French in Ban Nhot forest", Gia Phu commune, Phu Yen district.

The art program "Cultural colors of Phu Hoa ethnic groups" includes 3 chapters, chapter I: Birth of land and water; chapter II: Cultural colors of Phu Hoa ethnic groups; chapter III: Phu Yen new day.

Within the framework of the festival, there were also activities: Workshop "Phu Yen Tourism - Opportunities and Challenges"; Culinary Night Full of Phu Hoa Flavor. Before that, Phu Yen Town People's Committee organized street art performances with 18 performances, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate in the experience.

Phu Yen Tourism - Culture Festival 2023 has ended, but the echoes will probably still resonate forever. The Festival activities have practically spread and promoted to the people and tourists from all over the country about the land, people, and cultural features imbued with the national identity of Phu Yen district, creating attraction and attracting investors to carry out joint ventures and cooperation activities to promote investment to develop the local tourism industry in the coming time.
