Exciting activities to honor women on Vietnamese Women's Day October 20

Towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2025) and the 15th anniversary of Vietnamese Women's Day, many exciting and practical activities took place in Ho Chi Minh City to honor the beauty and role of women in all fields and social life.

At Gia Dinh People’s Hospital, the hospital’s Trade Union organized a conical hat drawing and decoration contest with the theme “Identity and beauty of Gia Dinh People’s Women”, attracting 42 teams to participate. The conical hat works carry a humanistic message, expressing the love for the profession and pride of female doctors.

According to Dr. Tran Quoc Hung, Chairman of the Hospital Union, the activity is an opportunity to unite the team, stimulate creativity and help medical staff relax after stressful working hours.

Women enthusiastically participated in the conical hat drawing and decoration contest at Gia Dinh People's Hospital on October 17.

At the same time, at the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Cultural House, the final round of the art competition "Singing from the house of the fairer sex" took place enthusiastically, gathering hundreds of contestants of all ages. Accordingly, 28 special performances such as "Rose on the shirt", "My mother", "Mother Gac Ma" brought a warm atmosphere, honoring the maternal love and optimistic spirit of Vietnamese women.

Some men also support women to participate in the contest to create a fun playground for doctors after stressful working hours.

Each team will present the meaning of the conical hat they draw to convince the judges.

A special highlight is the participation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Muoi, 62 years old, a retired preschool teacher, who has been involved in the contest for more than 10 years, sharing: "Music has no age. I sing because of passion and for the joy of spreading positive energy to everyone."

According to the judges, the professional quality of this year's contestants is outstanding, demonstrating investment and dedication. The contest is not only a place to find talent but also a space to connect the community, foster the mass art movement and affirm the role of women in the spiritual and social life.

Ho Chi Minh City women are burning out at "Singing from the house of beauty" in 2025.

Also on this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union launched the program "Month of Action with Women", focusing on supporting disadvantaged women and children, promoting start-ups, digital transformation and caring for migrant workers. The movement "City of Colorful Flowers" was deployed with 169 green buildings and flower gardens in schools and residential areas, contributing to building a green - clean - beautiful urban area.

Ms. Vo Ngoc Thanh Truc, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, emphasized: "These activities not only honor women but also spread the spirit of creativity, solidarity and aspiration of "half of the world in building a civilized, humane and livable city".
