Earlier, at approximately 6:50 PM on October 17th, after receiving a report from the public about a tourist getting lost in the forest, the Hoang Lien Forest Ranger Station task force, in coordination with the Ta Van Commune Police, implemented a search and rescue plan, demarcating the search area to Lot 9, Section 4, Sub-area 278, Sin Chai Hamlet, Ta Van Commune.
Authorities discovered Ms. M. Carina and Mr. H. Florian (Austrian nationals) visiting a protected forest area without a permit from the forest owner. The tourists were unable to present any legal documents related to tourism activities in the forest.

During the journey through the forest, the tourist sustained minor injuries and was unable to leave the area on their own. A search team of 10 people, including forest rangers from Hoang Lien National Park, police from Ta Van commune, security forces, and members of the forest protection team, made efforts to reach the tourist. By over 11 PM that same day, the team had reached the tourist, provided first aid, and safely brought them out of the forest.
The relevant units have documented the incident, disseminated information, and reminded tourists about violations of legal regulations in tourism activities and the protection of special-use forests, while also handling the case according to current regulations.
