The Brigade regularly organizes training in specific situations, such as rescue of industrial and civil construction collapses; Search and Rescue in dangerous environments: Fire, explosion, high temperature, toxic smoke, on land and underwater. After each training phase, the unit organizes demonstrations to perfect the techniques and skills of each individual, each group, department and the whole team, ensuring the successful completion of tasks, while keeping people and equipment safe.
With a large number of technical equipment, diverse types and most of the user manuals not translated into Vietnamese, exploiting and mastering the equipment encountered many difficulties. To overcome this, in addition to acquiring knowledge at training sessions, the Brigade proactively compiled specific instruction documents on the features, uses, technical parameters with images of each equipment and vehicle. This document effectively serves the training, management and command of TKCN missions.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Nhu, Deputy Brigade Commander, Chief of Staff of the Brigade, shared: Along with investing in upgrading technical facilities, the unit always promotes initiatives and innovations to increase the efficiency of using existing equipment and vehicles. Many specialized equipment for river crossing and construction engineering have been supplemented with new features to serve rescue missions. For example, using 40-ton or 60-ton PMP pontoon bridges combined with ferries as a station to gather forces when performing long-term missions in flooded areas; attaching a rescue cabin to the crane head of the 25-ton KC55713-1 crane for high-altitude rescue. The unit also researched and invented many effective rescue vehicles such as compact, easy-to-maneuver 3-section folding iron ladders; winch systems for evacuating goods and assets... These initiatives were tested, demonstrated and evaluated to have good results.

The 25th Engineer Brigade has participated in many difficult and complicated rescue missions and completed them well, such as the rescue of the Can Tho bridge approach span collapse in 2007; the rescue of the fire at Kwong Lung Meko Garment Company in Tra Noc Industrial Park, Can Tho City in 2017; the rescue of the construction collapse in An Giang in 2020...
Colonel Lam Quang Hop, Political Commissar of the 25th Engineer Brigade, emphasized: Although the unit is stationed in many directions and areas, the Party Committee and commanders always promote the spirit of initiative and determination; effectively carry out all regular and unexpected tasks, especially responding to incidents, natural disasters and search and rescue. Disaster situations can happen anywhere, at any time, so the officers and soldiers of the Brigade are always ready in all conditions, and when ordered, they will go.
