At the exchange program, along with heroic songs that have been with us for many years, historical witnesses shared many touching stories about their youth in the battlefield, the relationship between the army and the people in the war zone, and the will of "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom" of generations of cadres and soldiers.

Those memories continue to be the motivation for the young generation of Military Region 9 today to strive to study, practice, maintain the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, and build a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit.

Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Pham Hong Loi, former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, former Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Military Region 9, grew up during the resistance war against the US to save the country, is one of many generals from Regiment 1, Division 330 (Military Region 9) - the unit honored to be recognized by the State as Hero of the People's Armed Forces three times.

At the exchange, Lieutenant General, People's Armed Forces Hero Pham Hong Loi shared many stories so that officers and soldiers could better understand the heroic spirit of a time of "rain of bombs and storms of bullets", where the will and courage of soldiers always shone.

And also during those years, many generations of fathers and brothers grew up amidst the flames of war, carrying in their hearts the steadfast flame of Uncle Ho's soldiers.
