Youth of Regiment 4 (Division 5) enthusiastically practicing.

For the young officers and soldiers of Division 5 today, born and raised in a time of peace and integration, when watching documentary films and listening to stories about the heroic historical days of previous generations, each person's heart is filled with pride.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tri Phuoc, Secretary of the Youth Union of Regiment 5, confided: “Living, studying and contributing in an environment rich in revolutionary tradition like the Military Region 7 is a great honor for every cadre and youth union member. We clearly identify the responsibility of today's young generation to inherit, promote and foster traditions; that is both an honor and a duty. Therefore, with youthful strength and enthusiasm, the youth of Regiment 5 are determined to overcome all difficulties and excellently complete all assigned tasks.”

Sharing the same sentiment, Lieutenant Vi Ngoc Linh, Political Commissar of Company 14 (Regiment 4) shared: “Looking back at the 80-year journey of the Military Region 7, I see more clearly the value of peace today. The independence and freedom we are enjoying is the crystallization of the blood, bones, intelligence and indomitable will of the heroic martyrs, of many generations of people who have devoted themselves to the Fatherland. It is not only the feats on the battlefield, but also the perseverance and dedication in each task and each working position.”

The youth of Division 5 actively researches innovations, improves techniques, and enhances training quality.

The young generation of Division 5 today continues the tradition of "Infinite loyalty, proactive creativity, self-reliance, solidarity and determination to win" of the Military Region's armed forces. In them, love and attachment to the unit is not only in words, but also in concrete actions, through efforts to study, train, work, contribute, and build a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" agency and unit.

Identifying training as a central political task, the Youth Union at all levels in Division 5 organized many forms and measures to improve the quality of training, such as: "Model class hours", "Pairs of friends progressing together", "Youth self-management and self-discipline week in training", "Overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain, practicing enthusiastically", "Excellent training - high combat readiness"...

Many initiatives and technical improvements serve training and combat readiness tasks; of which 18 initiatives were recognized at the Military Region level, 2 initiatives were recognized at the Ministry of National Defense level, and 2 initiatives participated in and won the Creative Youth Award in the Army.

Officers and soldiers of Battalion 18 (Division 5) actively build a "bright, green, clean, and beautiful" unit.

Regarding the task of building a regular and disciplined system, this is an important task, having a decisive meaning to the results of building a strong, comprehensive, "exemplary, typical" unit.

The Youth of Division 5 has had many new and creative ways of doing things, such as the movements: "Exemplary Youth of Division 5 in building discipline and training discipline", "Youth of Division with traffic culture", "Youth branch without cadres and youth union members violating discipline and law", "Youth branch without cadres and youth union members smoking", "Green Sunday", "Youth watchtower"; the model "Youth branch 4 good - 1 strict", "Youth 5 good"... thereby, raising the awareness of self-awareness and strict compliance with law and discipline of union members and youth.

In particular, when the Covid-19 epidemic broke out and became complicated in 2021, the Division organized nearly 4,000 cadres and youth union members to march into the epidemic area, proactively coordinating with local Party committees, authorities and Youth Union organizations to effectively carry out the task of fighting the epidemic and saving people.

Youth of Division 5 offered incense at the Martyrs Cemetery of Hill 82 (Tan Bien commune, Tay Ninh province).

Recently, at the Conference summarizing the activities of the Youth Union and the youth movement of Division 5, period 2022 - 2025, comrade Le Ngoc Minh Hung, Secretary of the Youth Union of Chau Thanh commune (Tay Ninh province) affirmed: "In the past time, the youth of Division 5 have proactively implemented many meaningful, practical and highly educational programs and activities. The unit's barracks are increasingly spacious, standardized, green, clean and beautiful. In particular, I am most impressed with the clean water lake project and the Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh, the Memorial Stele of the Heroic Martyrs. Those outstanding achievements cannot fail to mention the intellectual dedication and youthfulness of the cadres, union members and youth of Division 5".
