Major General Tran Chi Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7, affirmed: “From the beginning of 2025, the Party Committee and the Command of Military Region 7 have implemented specific measures on the "Four Good, One Strict Youth Union Branch" model, focusing on improving the quality of activities, strengthening disciplinary education , and building a healthy cultural environment within the unit. One of the highlights of the model's implementation is the significant improvement in the organization of youth union activities at the units. At Regiment 88 (Division 302, Military Region 7), monthly meetings or those held on holidays and anniversaries have become democratic and open forums, focusing on practical content instead of general discussions. The youth union branches set specific criteria: "Good organization, good discipline, good activities, good environment, and strict adherence to discipline," making it easier for members to follow and strive for improvement.

Captain Truong Anh Van, Political Officer of Battalion 4, Regiment 88, shared: “Applying the criteria, the activities of the youth union branches have become more organized and closely aligned with the assigned tasks. Each activity topic has a specific product and clear evaluation, so the union members and young people have a sense of self-reflection, self-correction, and self-improvement. The model not only changes the content of the Youth Union's activities but also helps us be more proactive in managing, educating, and training soldiers.”

Based on the established routines of the Youth Union, the youth movements of Military Region 7 are always vibrant and closely linked to training, combat readiness, and civilian affairs work. Many effective models have been widely implemented, such as "Volunteer Saturday," "Golden Study Hour," "Youth-Managed Road," "100 Dong House," and "Youth Medicinal Garden." Particularly in implementing the "Four Good, One Strict Youth Union Branch" model, Military Region 7 emphasizes the importance of promoting the exemplary role of Youth Union officials, considering it a key factor. Party committees at all levels require Youth Union branch secretaries and deputy secretaries to be truly exemplary in their words and actions, leading the way in training, work, discipline, and adherence to regulations.

Colonel Truong Van Lan, Political Commissar of the 26th Armored Brigade (Military Region 7), said: “A strong Youth Union branch must first have strong Youth Union officers. If Youth Union officers lack responsibility and their words don't match their actions, they cannot convince the soldiers. We always consider training the Youth Union team as a priority, because they are the ones who directly 'inspire' the youth. As a result, by 2025, 100% of the Brigade's officers, members, and young people will have a good understanding of their duties and strictly adhere to discipline.”

Another important aspect of the model is its close connection to the movement to build a pure and exemplary military cultural environment. At the 5th Division (Military Region 7), the barracks and landscape are clean, well-maintained, and orderly, from the guard gate to the mess hall, living quarters, training grounds, and practice areas. Common living spaces are arranged scientifically, and many sports and arts clubs are regularly maintained, helping soldiers to have healthy recreation after training hours.
Soldier Tran Thanh Hau, Company 1, Battalion 6 (Regiment 5, Division 5) shared: “The unit has a good living environment and beautiful scenery, and we are all conscious of preserving it, which in turn enhances our sense of discipline. The 'Four Good, One Strict Youth Union' model helps us understand our role in building a military cultural environment, not just the responsibility of officers.”
From the positive changes in the activities of the youth union branch to the growth of each member, the "Four Good, One Strict Youth Union Branch" model has become an important foundation contributing to building a strong, exemplary, and comprehensive unit. The youth of Military Region 7 always take the lead in difficult tasks, especially in civilian affairs, helping people overcome the consequences of natural disasters, building new rural areas, providing free medical examinations and treatment, and donating blood voluntarily. These actions have further enhanced the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people.
Major General Tran Chi Tam affirmed: “The greatest value that the model brings is not only the innovation in the organization and operation of the Youth Union, but also the transformation in the awareness, conduct, responsibility, and discipline of each Youth Union member and young person. Compared to the same period in 2024, from the beginning of 2025 to the present, the number of cases and people violating discipline has decreased by more than 37%; cadres, Youth Union members, young people, and soldiers voluntarily and strictly abide by the law and discipline, building a clean and strong Party, and building exemplary and outstanding comprehensively strong agencies and units.”
