On Sunday, the working atmosphere of the officers and soldiers still takes place in a hurry. On the collapsed floors after the storm and flood in November, the sound of hammers, saws, and calls to each other are mixed with the continuous rhythm of mixing concrete without stopping.

Everyone understood that this was not just a simple mass mobilization activity, but also an order from the soldier's heart in the face of the people's losses.

Leaders of the 34th Military Corps School inspected and directed the construction.

The storm and flood have left behind heavy scars in Ngo May commune. Many houses were swept away or collapsed completely, property was damaged, and people's lives were difficult.

Implementing the direction of superiors, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of the 34th Corps Military School quickly developed a plan, organized forces to march to the area, coordinated with the Party Committee and government of Ngo May commune to survey the damage, and made plans to support and rebuild housing for the people.

With the spirit of "speed, boldness, sure victory", the working groups were divided into groups to carry out: Leveling the ground, transporting materials, digging foundations, building walls, installing roof frames, completing the project...

Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Duc Trung, representative of the cadres directly helping the people, shared while carrying bricks with his teammates: “Every day, the cadres and soldiers start early in the morning, shorten their lunch break and extend their working hours until dusk, to speed up the construction progress. The sooner the work is completed, the less hardship the people will have.”

The hands of the soldiers, who are used to the training ground, operating commands and weapons, are now careful and meticulous with each construction line and joint. Local construction workers are also mobilized to coordinate, ensuring technical and progress, meeting the requirements of construction quality, solidity, durability, good load-bearing capacity and must be timely so that people can soon stabilize their lives before the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026.

Colonel Pham Hong Son, Deputy Political Commissar of the School, who directly commanded the implementation of the mission, said: “The school was assigned to build 6 houses to support people in flood-affected areas. We consider helping people as a combat mission in peacetime. Not only rebuilding roofs, but also rebuilding trust and confidence for people after natural disasters and floods. The harder it is, the more clearly we see the meaning of the steadfast and close relationship between the army and the people, and the noble image of Uncle Ho's soldiers shines brighter.”

This morning (December 7), Mr. Le Dinh Vy, residing in Cat Hoi village (Ngo May commune), emotionally expressed to Colonel Bui Van Khiem, Principal of the 34th Corps Military School: “My house completely collapsed, all my property was lost. The soldiers came to help rebuild the house from the ruins, regardless of the hard work from morning to night, making me feel overwhelmed with admiration. Looking at the new house gradually appearing, I don’t know what to say other than my deep gratitude. Thanks to the soldiers, we have a place to live again, and the confidence to overcome the current difficulties.”

Local construction workers also joined the soldiers in erecting iron pillars for construction.
As we go, we level the foundation of the house.

The "Quang Trung Campaign" was organized closely and scientifically by the School; logistics and technical work were fully prepared; participating forces were thoroughly informed and assigned specific tasks by day and by category.

The officers are constantly on the scene, giving instructions and working with the soldiers, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere. In addition, the officers and soldiers also propagate to the people how to prevent storms and floods, clean up the environment after floods; support garbage collection, unclog sewers, contributing to stabilizing the common life of the village and commune.
